Dr. Graham Foster

Dr. Foster received his Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Alberta, and his Doctor of Optometry degree from the State University of New York. Located in lower Manhattan at Suny he experienced unparalleled clinical exposure. The four-year Doctor of Optometry program at SUNY shares faculty with the New York University’s School of Medicine, as well as having many ophthalmologic staff from New York Eye and Ear.

Following study at Suny, Dr. Foster received further training in the treatment and management of ocular disease with a residency program at West Haven Veteran’s Affairs Hospital in Connecticut.  The hospital was connected to the Yale University, and the residency consisted of corneal, retinal glaucoma and general ophthalmology grand rounds with the Yale ophthalmology students and professors. He then did a second residency in Buffalo, New York at three different general and surgical sites associated with the HMO Health Care Plan.

Since graduation in 1999, Dr. Foster has been working in private practice in the lower mainland. He has worked with the team optometrist of the Vancouver Canucks, the B.C. Lions, and previously, the Vancouver Grizzlies.  He has a keen interest in visual performance of all kind, including the pediatric and sport population.
